Another Season Comes to an End

Thank you!

What a whirlwind season this has been! It started out so slow. The pandemic limited access to the slopes and travel was restricted—not to mention low snow! But the pandemic slowed, the snow “blowed”, and skiing was finally a go. After one of our worst Decembers ever, January was a little better. February and March were our best February and March ever! A roller-coaster ride for sure!

Almost all the ski resorts are closing as of April 18th. Only Squaw Valley and Mammoth are going to stay open longer—until the end of May, if possible.

We will be closing for the season on April 21st. However, we will still be available by appointment. If you are inclined to head for Squaw Valley or Mammoth, please make an appointment 24 hours prior to pick up time as staff will not be keeping regular hours, but they will be onsite tuning and prepping equipment for next season. Just email or call if you need equipment.

On another note, we received great feedback on how well the appointment system worked this season! Walk-ins are always welcome, but appointments helped us plan our staffing much better, and it seems to have helped our customers plan better, too. We are going to continue this system next season.

A big thank you to all of our old customers, and new customers, too, for standing by us this season with all of its challenges. We appreciate your support very much, and look forward to next season, hopefully with fewer challenges than this one. As always, don’t forget to “Think Snow!”
