The Snow Sports Recycling Program was launched in the fall of 2008 in Colorado. The beta test included Specialty Sports Venture; Colorado Ski & Golf and Boulder Ski Deals. The program goal is to be more environmentally responsible by working with specialty shops and suppliers to keep old equipment out of landfills by shredding it. Shredded equipment can be repurposed into a variety of new products including composite decking, flooring and furniture.
